Warren wins
HRtech Startup of the Year 2026

Brussels8 October 2026EN

Warren has been named HRtech Startup of the Year at HRtech Unfolded 2026. We received the award on 7 October in Gare Maritime, Brussels, among HR professionals and industry peers. We see this as more than a recognition of our work. It’s a sign of a welcome change in how employers think about pensions: no longer as an administrative task to tick off, but as a meaningful employee benefit worth making visible.

The benefit nobody sees

For most employers, the supplementary pension is one of the most generous things they offer. It’s also the least noticed. It’s paid every month, but explained once at onboarding and then forgotten.

You can’t value what you can’t see. For many employees, the value of their pension savings remains unclear and half of Flemish employees with group insurance don’t even know how their plan generates returns (HRMagazine).

Millions are being invested in employees’ futures, yet for many, that investment remains a black box.

From complexity to clarity

At the heart of Warren is a simple belief: pension savings should work harder for employees. Through its licensed pension fund, Warren Pension Fund OFP, Warren invests for the long term, combining a low-cost investment strategy with full transparency. No entry fees, no hidden commissions, just more of every contribution working towards a better pension.

Around that sits the app. Employees see their whole pension in one place: what they own, what they pay, and how it’s invested. Everything is presented in a way that's easy to grasp, helping employees understand how their pension is growing and what it means for their future. And whenever questions arise, Warren's AI Coach is there to help. For those who prefer a real conversation, selected financial coaches are just two taps away.

For HR, that means the pension stops being invisible. Employees understand what you’ve given them, see where they stand and know what to do next.

What impressed the jury

The jury highlighted Warren's distinctive full-stack approach. Rather than simply building technology on top of existing financial products, Warren operates its own regulated pension fund, delivers the benefits itself, and has built the technology that brings everything together. This gives Warren control over the entire experience, from how pensions are invested to how employees engage with them.

Equally important was Warren's focus on real-world impact. The jury recognised that Warren isn't building technology for technology's sake, but using it to tackle a genuine societal challenge: helping people build greater financial security and prepare for retirement.

It's this combination of technological innovation, a fundamentally different business model and meaningful societal impact that stood out.

A recognition of what we’re building together

For most people, work is the foundation of their financial life. Yet pay is still treated as a transaction: work comes in, salary goes out. We think employers can do much more than that. This award says HR leaders agree.
