Brussels15 October 2026EN

Pluxee, the employee benefits and engagement partner of 90,000 Belgian companies, is entering a partnership with Ghent-based fintech Warren. With Pluxee Pension by Warren¹, Belgian employers can access a second-pillar supplementary pension plan from Warren through Pluxee from 19 October. Pluxee is the first employee benefits provider in Belgium to include a supplementary pension plan in its full offering, taking a step towards financial wellbeing. Pluxee brings the offer to employers, while Warren manages the pension plan and gives employers and employees a digital platform and app to follow it.

Pension institution
Warren Pension Fund OFP (FSMA)

The pension plan is offered and managed by Warren Pension Fund OFP, a licensed pension fund supervised by the FSMA. With this offering, both partners are initially targeting innovative SMEs, startups and scale-ups.

Employers invest structurally in their people, but the supplementary pension often remains too invisible to employees. With Pluxee Pension by Warren, employees can see what they are building up thanks to employer contributions. Meal and eco vouchers support purchasing power today. A supplementary pension helps tomorrow.

A pension employees barely see

People building up a supplementary pension through their employer in a company plan have a median reserve of €5,988 today, according to FSMA figures. Yet the supplementary pension matters: the statutory pension covers only part of a person's last salary, and the supplementary pension is meant to help bridge that gap. The number of people with supplementary pension rights is growing: almost eight in ten Belgians in the workforce have them today, compared with seven in ten in 2018. For many employers, the supplementary pension is one of the largest extra-statutory investments in their staff. Yet it is often undervalued.

For many employees, the supplementary pension is one of their most important financial benefits, but also one of the least tangible. Because of its complexity, it remains an abstract notion for many. And what stays that abstract rarely gets the appreciation it deserves.

A pension plan employees can follow

With the new offering, employees always have their pension at hand. In the Warren app they can see at any moment how much is being set aside for them, what it is invested in and what it is worth today. The aim is to make the supplementary pension a benefit employees know and value.

Contributions are invested through a mixed portfolio of equity and bond ETFs. Whereas a supplementary pension in Belgium usually runs through group insurance, this pension plan is managed by a licensed pension fund: Warren Pension Fund OFP. The employer pays a fixed subscription per employee, with no entry or exit fees and no charges on the accumulated pension capital. Employers follow reserves and contributions in their own dashboard.

Every plan comes with financial guidance: an AI coach in the app gives employees more insight into their pay package and pension savings, and anyone who wants to can book a session with a Warren financial coach at no extra cost.

From purchasing power to financial wellbeing

With meal, eco and gift vouchers, Pluxee supports employees' purchasing power today. The partnership brings Pluxee's international expertise together with a Belgian fintech specialised in supplementary pensions and financial wellbeing.

We want to offer HR a complete employee benefits solution, and the supplementary pension is part of that. We also want to make it more accessible for SMEs that don't have a plan yet. We deliberately chose an innovative, digital partner that knows the Belgian pension system inside out.

A Belgian fintech with its own pension fund

Warren was founded in Ghent in 2025 by Cedric De Vleeschauwer and a team of entrepreneurs and specialists in technology, investment and financial services.

Warren BV set up its own pension fund: Warren Pension Fund OFP, a separate pension institution licensed by the FSMA. In June 2026, Warren raised €10 million in a funding round. In early October, Warren also won the HRtech Award 2026 for Startup of the Year. More than a hundred Belgian companies already offer their employees a pension plan through Warren today.

Long-term returns depend on the financial markets, but costs are something we can control. A pension is a forty-year investment: every euro that doesn't go to fees stays invested for the employee all those years. Thanks to the partnership with Pluxee, we can introduce many more employers to a new generation of supplementary pension plans.
